Haringey Stop the War Coalition
Contributed articles

The purpose of this web site is to support local activity against the war in Haringey, North London. There are many web sites, such as ZNet and national newspapers, which contain a large number of articles and discussion pieces on the war and its myriad consequences. We can’t compete with these.

However, sometimes we get sent pieces which we feel deserve a wider readership and are not available on-line elsewhere. The following are excellent examples of this: eyewitness accounts of the bombing of Libya in 1986 and the occupation of Bethlehem by Israeli forces in 2002. Sometimes rules are made to be broken!

If you want to encourage us to break this rule again, please send unpublished articles to haringey_stopwar@hotmail.com.

I Was There When The Americans Bombed - Suhail Shafi, Maltese medical doctor who was 6 when the US bombed Tripoli in 1986.

An eyewitness in Bethlehem - Peace activist and human shield, Ted Curtis, a freelance writer, travelled from North London to pay witness to the Israeli occupation of Bethlehem in 2002.
